HOW DID WE DECIDE TO PRESERVE THE LEGENDARY HORSE, SMART CHIC OLENA?

We like most people dreamed of being able to breed, own or even show a legendary performance horse. We found out about the frozen semen of this horse & it was being controlled & sold by the bankruptcy trustee. So we were able to afford to buy some this semen. We bred to our mare Little Tari Kid (Brenna's Kid & Chunky Monkey). We ended up with a great little red dun stud colt in the spring of 2012. We slowly kept working with the trustee on buying little bit here & there. The trustee approached us & said they were needing to get this case closed, & if they didn't have a buyer that could buy the rest of the semen available then they would be forced to destroy it. We prayed about it & put it in God's hands. God provided the means & opened the doors for us to be able to preserve this legend of a horse & pass on these breeding's to you. Through the process of obtaining the semen, we were also able to obtain ownership of all rights of the horse, including the papers from AQHA in our name
